Local CODE PINKers will be delivering a Valentine message and some
tasty Fair Trade chocolate chip scones to Representative Virgil
Goode's office in Downtown Charlottesville (104 S. 1st St., off the
Mall) at 1 p.m. today, Wednesday, February 14.

"The message is "Be Sweet and Stop Funding the Iraq War," said Shelley
Stern, who is also making scones today as a fundraiser for the Prison
Book Project.

The Code Pink action is a part of coordinated campaign to urge members
of Congress to cut off funding for the illegal war in Iraq which has
killed over 3000 American troops and 100,000 Iraqi civilians. Code
Pink is occupying a number of Senators' and Congresspersons' offices
today with the message "Bring the Troops Home," "Stop Funding the
War," and now, "Don't Attack Iran."*
