The People United invites you to join others in Charlottesville interested
in and concerned about immigrants rights to receive updates on current
issues affecting immigrants, learn about the work that is already
happening and discuss ways to stregthen the immigrant solidarity network
in the area.
Nazey Gulec from the Justice for Smithfield Campaign will make a brief
presentation, there will be updates from Mexicanos Sin Fronteras, the
group organizing to overturn the notorious anti-immigrant resolution in
Prince William County, VA and a presentation on ways that other
communities ahve worked to revitalize the immigrant sanctuary movement.
