Description

Virginia is a battleground state in the struggle for immigrant justice.
Over 100 immigration-related bills are being proposed at the Virginia
General Assembly, the vast majority of them harmful to the immigrant
community. From empowering local police to enforce federal immigration law
to denying unemployment benefits to immigrant workers these hurtful bills
must be stopped. There is even a bill pending that would prevent
immigrants from getting married.

The Virginia Immigrant Peoples Coalition invites people of all walks of
life to join us in defense of human dignity as we converge on the General
Assembly. Come to Richmond and let the legislators hear our message loud
and clear!
We have a proud history of immigration in this country.
Immigrant families make vital contributions to our life, culture and
economy.
The people of Virginia oppose this assault on the immigrant
community.
